Secure, High-Performance
Built for dual-use
This is a system built for dual-use from day one. It delivers on-demand capacity over selected mission areas, with anti-jam protection, sovereign controls, and mission assurance built in.
Low Earth orbit keeps latency low, and low path loss makes terminal uplinks harder to detect and geolocate. A larger fleet means lower latency.
The system extends broadband beyond terrestrial reach to provide sovereign, secure, high performance satellite communications. Designed to work alongside existing governmental satellite communications, such as IRIS², and terrestrial networks.
A larger satellite fleet and defense-grade design hold up under pressure.
Data and control stay within the national or allied infrastructure you approve.
Broadband satellite communications to direct to compact terminals.
by ICEYE and Nokia
ICEYE offers this the way it offers SAR missions: nations own and operate the system. The data touches only approved national infrastructure, or allied infrastructure if nation chooses to extend it that way. There is no dependency on a foreign commercial operator's terms of service.
ICEYE brings the satellite platform, constellation operations, and ground segment experience behind its sovereign missions. Nokia brings communications expertise, secure networking technology, and network orchestration. If a nation already operates an ICEYE sovereign ISR mission, this extends that same trusted relationship into secure communications.
The first communications satellites are expected to be launched in 2028.
The system is designed around three operating models: a dedicated national constellation, a coalition constellation for allied partners, or a hosted sovereign service for rapid deployment. National control stays intact in all three.
ICEYE brings a satellite platform and constellation operations already proven in sovereign missions. Nokia brings the secure networking technology and orchestration to run it.
Nations already operating ICEYE ISR missions can extend that same partnership into secure communications, with one mission partner across space-based intelligence and connectivity.
