Finding the right role can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re looking at a company doing something as complex and exciting as New Space. At ICEYE, we want to make that first step easier for you.
The most important mindset shift is this: as a rule of thumb, if you meet around 70–80% of the core requirements and feel genuinely excited about the mission, we encourage you to apply.
When you look at a job description, start with the basics:
Once those boxes are checked, move to your CV. Think of it not as a historical archive, but as a signal of relevance. A clear, well‑structured document of one to two pages is usually enough, even for experienced candidates.
Prioritize your most relevant experience, not necessarily your most recent. For each role, include a few bullet points that focus on impact, not just responsibilities. Instead of “responsible for monitoring systems,” say “reduced system downtime by X% through improved monitoring and alerting.” Numbers and specific outcomes help us understand what you actually delivered.
If you’ve worked with high‑reliability systems, real‑time or geospatial data, mission‑critical operations, or international teams, highlight that clearly. These skills translate very well to the kind of work we do at ICEYE.
Finally, consider adding a short profile summary at the top of your CV,three to five lines that explain who you are, what you’re good at, and what you’re looking for next. Links to a GitHub profile, portfolio, publications, or talks are also very welcome. They’re not mandatory, but they give us extra insight into how you think and build.
A thoughtful match between your profile and the role, plus a focused, impact‑oriented CV, already puts you ahead of many applicants. That’s a great starting point for your journey with us.
