ICEYE establishes Indian entity to support India's sovereign intelligence capability

New Delhi, India – 24 August, 2026 – ICEYE, the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space, today announced the formal establishment of ICEYE India, operating from New Delhi. This extends the company's presence into one of the world's most significant defense and space markets.

ICEYE India’s immediate priority is supporting India's defense and intelligence customers to access advanced intelligence capabilities and solutions that strengthen national security and resilience, alongside broader engagement with the country's space and defense ecosystem through supply-chain participation, technology validation, and local capability building.

The entity is also the platform for ICEYE's manufacturing plans in India. The company intends to build production capability in-country, serving Indian defense, surveillance, and environmental monitoring requirements through local sourcing, local suppliers, and local engineering talent.

ICEYE is exploring collaboration across the Indian space and defense ecosystem, including launch capabilities, electronics and component manufacturers, and technology partners. The company's model in every country is to build industrial capability locally, an approach that aligns with Aatmanirbhar Bharat objectives.
