Detecting Changes in the Vessels Draught

Be aware of changes in the draught of collaborative and dark vessels to detect unreported good and commodity transfer in time.

Vessel draught  indicates how full with commodity a vessel is. Estimating draught of dark vessels, e.g. oil tankers or cargo ships, after every stop shows if the vessel became lighter or heavier. Depending on this change, the conclusion on unreported good or commodity transfer can be derived.

With the constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites, ICEYE can provide accurate information enabling estimation of draught of dark vessels.
