Flood Early Warning

Our Flood Early Warning datasets provide a high-precision flood risk forecast up to four days in advance of flood events, enabling insurers to take proactive steps to protect people and property. By combining real-time flood forecasts with high-resolution hazard zones and historical data layers, we deliver a more accurate view of likely flood impact and exposure.

Flood Rapid Impact

Our newest, Flood Rapid Impact (FRI) product provides automated, near-real-time flood extent data derived directly from ICEYE’s Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite observations. With rolling updates every 6–12 hours, FRI delivers reliable, continually refreshed flood extent information throughout large-scale flood events.

This observed data enables rapid situational awareness and supports emergency coordination and operational decisions when time is critical. It shows how a flood evolves over time, especially during rising and peak phases, through flood extent snapshots and aggregated views. All data is delivered as vector file formats (GeoPackage).

Our flagship product, Flood Insights (FI), delivers the world’s first consistent, near-real-time flood data based on direct observational evidence, providing a precise quantification of maximum flood extent and depth during and after an event.

While Flood Rapid Impact (FRI) offers frequently updated views of flood extent as the event unfolds, which is ideal for tracking the progression in near real time, Flood Insights captures the peak impact, offering the most comprehensive picture of the event’s severity, down to the building level.

Your annual subscription includes:

Access to ICEYE's Flood Early Warning (FEW),
Flood Rapid Impact (FRI), and
the final Flood Insights (FI) data release.

You shall be entitled to use your annual subscription for the following purposes:

Understanding the scale and severity of the catastrophe event (cat event);
Estimating the financial cost of the cat event;
Managing the appointment and deployment of field loss adjusters and similar for handling losses from the cat event; and
Managing underwriting moratoriums.

Term: 12 months following the Order Confirmation Date.
