Individual ICEYE SAR satellites form a constellation that enables unmatched imaging revisit rates on a global scale. ICEYE’s SAR satellite constellation provides different angle imaging multiple times a day for specified area of interest. ICEYE SAR Constellation is constantly growing and will provide previously unavailable imaging capabilities and access, allowing quick tactical acquisitions as well as global revisit rates of on average 3 hours. Each satellite unit continues to introduce individual improvements on the system
ICEYE continues to grow its SAR satellite constellation each year. Following ICEYE-X1 and ICEYE-X2, the company’s first SAR satellite missions, ICEYE has contracted launches for 5 new satellites for 2019 alone. The pace at which new satellites are launched is built around the market needs both in data and information services.
The initial 6 satellite constellation for 2019 is planned to be in orbit in 3 different inclinations, with 2 satellites in each inclination. This configuration supports a daily ground track repeat of 24 hours globally, giving access to an unmatched daily interferometry uses.
X-band radar imaging is available at 1x1 meter resolutions as Spotlight, at 1.5x1.5 and 3x3 meter resolutions as Stripmap, and at 20x20 meter resolution as ScanSAR. Products include SLC, GRD, and map-projected files, delivered via SFTP or API direct to operational systems.
